This Saturday, 5/12 kicks off the 6 race series between Outback Raceway and CRC Raceway. Doors open at 11am, racing starts at 1pm.
This is also a CRC Sunday Series race, so we will have Nitro 8th Buggies and Truggies, although their points are only counted towards CRC and not towards the N/S Shootout.
The 4 Shootout classes are:
Sportsman (any 1/10 scale 2wd vehicle with 13.5 blinky or slower)
SCB (2wd SCB's, 13.5 Blinky)
Pro 2 (2wd SCT's, 13.5 Blinky)
Pro 4 (4wd SCT's, open motor and esc)
Then the following week on Sunday, 5/20 - N/S Shootout #2 at Outback.
then a break until 7/1 for round 3.
full season schedule - http://www.teamcrc.com/crcraceway/pages/spring_summer2012.pdf
See you all this weekend! |

Can't wait... Still a 2s lipo or 6c nimh rule right? Even w/ pro4 May want to put that out there unless the rules changed.
I was actually surprised to see the open motor for pro4, I'll stick w/ my 540 4-pole but I'm sure some may have larger 1512 and 1515 1/8 motors so that may add a few players. |

yes, all the same rules Brian. 1/10 racing classes always have a 2s or 6cell max. The only exception is the stock Slash spec class at the SC Nats as the class is sponsored by traxxas and they sell 7 cell packs.
Pro 4 is still 540 or 550 max size. No 1/8 scale motors. "Open" means open mod, or no limitations on winds or kv rating like the 13.5 class. It does not mean "run what ya brung".
The 2s, 4 pole motored trucks are PLENTY fast and are usually over-powered even for our big track. There is no reason to go even bigger, heavier, and faster; except to try and hospitalize corner marshalls.

I hope to have the "local racing results" page updated by the end of the day to have a button to click to go directly to each points series standings.
for now, you can find them in the same results listing page as the rest of the results, which can be found here - http://teamcrc.com/results/

He clarified a few lines down... 540, 550 can only. So 1/10 scale motors but 4-Pole motors are fine.. any Kv rating fine. So it's not a 'run what ya brung'. |

hey Brian,
that was a spam "bot". i just deleted 4 posts from the same username that were all posted within a few minutes.
the spammers seem to be trying new tricks. not good ones, but new ones anyway. lol. rather than just posting their ad crap straight up in a post, they put links in their signatures and then just copy/paste bits & pieces of other's posts so it looks like they're actually participating in the conversation. lol. |

Weather forecast is looking pretty dialed for Sunday in Cortland.
Anybody that wants to convoy out, we are planning on meeting at CRC at 8:45 and getting on the road by 9am.
See you all there.

Another awesome race at Outback Raceway! Results and Points are posted!
Sorry to everybody about the delay getting things started. I still have no idea what the problem was with the counting system. Thanks to Buzz and Ron for having their system ready to go and getting everything switched over and re-entered. What a PITA!
Awesome job guys and can't wait for the next one on 8/19!
