CRC team driver Jari Taskila used his Advanced Black Diamond powered Gen-XL to capture the Top Qualifier honors at this year’s ROAR Carpet On-road Nationals. The A-main field was very tough as it contained some very well-known & successful modified drivers. Regardless of who was in the field, it was Jari that they were chasing in qualifying. Jari had some bad luck in traffic in the main, putting him back to second position, but he recorded the fastest average top 5, average top 10, & average top 20 laps of the main event, showing that he was the fastest car in the field.
Jari also qualified well in the modified division, putting himself 4th on the starting grid.
A congratulations also goes out to Jeremy Otis from Michigan for making the A-main in Super Stock!

Jari’s Black Art R8c equipped CRC Gen-XL.
(Jari’s regular body painter was either on strike, or on vacation. We still haven’t found out which.)

Jari opted for the long upper arm setup with double front pin braces. Notice Jari has his 7.4v LiPo receiver pack plugged into his Black Diamond LV speed control, instead of the receiver. The BD-LV has a built in voltage regulator that cuts the voltage down to 6v to protect your servos and receivers without having the extra weight of an external regulator.
