CRC driver Lambert sweeps the IIC, T.Q, 1st and wire to wire in the A-main! |
The International Indoor Championships in Las Vegas is a showcase of the finest drivers and products from all over the world. A large smooth track, lots of grip and the best drivers in the world, the IIC is a big test of man and machine.
New at the 2011 IIC was CRC’s new 1:12th car, the Gen-Xi. This new car takes all the winning heritage from the most dominant car in 1:12th racing over the last few years, the multi-national winning CRC Gen-XL. Corner speed is at a huge premium in the restricted 17.5 class. With speedo timing locked at zero, the chassis is the main factor in a quick lap time. Kenny totally dominated the IIC with the ” CRC Race Package”; the 3203 Gen-Xi car , the 3701 Rocket Fuel battery, the 4167 CRC/Black Art R8C body and CRC Pro Cut 1:12th tires (2172 Magenta front and 2175 Pink rear).
Patrick Morehead and Fred Kellner put the the CRC Gen-X 10 on the front row, qualifying 1-2.
Kellner takes the victory!

Fred Kellner takes a dramatic win the 13.5 World GT division with the CRC Gen-X 10LE |
The 13.5 World GT division at the IIC was another class dominated by CRC with a T.Q. Wisconson driver Fred Kellner took his VERY stock CRC Gen-X 10LE (1712)to a win in the 13.5 World GT class. Fred was sniffing around the T.Q. of the event for the first 2 rounds only to see Northwest driver Patrick Morehead take the T.Q. in round 3 with his CRC Gen-X 10 with a Mckune chassis and other McKune option parts. Congratulations to the 2 drivers for making it an all CRC front row.
Look for close ups of Kenny’s car in a second report next week.
