Northeast Grand Slam Summary Report

The Northeast Grand Slam (NEGS) is a series of carpet road races that travel from Ohio to Canada, east to the New York City area and then finally south to Washington DC. The NEGS management team and the fine tracks that hosted these events did a great job providing a high level of professionalism and competition for a reasonable cost to the racer.
All season long, the CRC young guns dominated the 1:12th 17.5 class with 3 T.Q.’s and 3 wins. Starting in October with the Halloween Classic, right though to the February Capitol Carpet Challenge, the competition has been trying to keep up with these young speedsters as they cut up the rug with their CRC Gen-X 1:12th cars. The Gen-X’s revolutionary X-Pod and Pro Strut front end shook the 1:12th racing scene back in 2006. With recent running changes and upgrades to the car including the Brushless pod that is now standard on the car, the Generation X continues to lead the pack.
